This is a complete 530 size upgrade kit, the same size that is used on Yamaha R-1 and other big bore's. Call RPE to special order! Chain & sprockets are sent OEM size with GOLD DID chain and a RIVET type master link. For QUICK ACCELERATION gear ratio (off the line, roll on's, wheelies), use a 15t front sprocket.

And terminal top speed will be less. For FREEWAY RATIO , (FASTER TOP SPEED, and LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM's), use a 43t or 44t rear sprocket.

Your initial off the line acceleration will be slightly slower than original, highway rpm's lower, and faster top speed. EXACT OEM GEAR RATIO size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's, and high speed engine rpm's with the least amount of compromise on either top end or low end acceleration. If you use your entire gear box as recieved from Yamaha when new, but just want a stronger and longer lasting 530 size kit, just order this kit as is. Exact OEM is the default gearing supplied with this kit if no optional ratios are requested. A 1 tooth change in the front is a more noticeable change because it is equivalent to a 3 tooth change in the rear..

EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front = +3 teeth rear) or (+1 tooth front = -3 teeth rear)EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front and +1 tooth rear combined is the same as +4 rear only without changing the front) 530 chain is 2mm wider than 525 chain, which is 2mm wider than 520 chain. Weight difference is less than 1.5 lbs difference total from oem 525 for this stronger, longer lasting 530 kit.

Sprocket also available in 530 x 15 , 16 , and 17 teeth. Sprocket also available in 530 x 43, 44, 46, 47 and 48 teeth. 520 and 525 conversions also Available call!!
