530 kit is stronger then OEM 525. OEM Gearing Sizes -or- Quick Acceleration -or- Freeway Commuter Ratio. Unless otherwise specified, OEM sizes will be sent as follows. JT 15 tooth Front & 45 tooth Rear Sprocket (scm420 high carbon Japan steel , c49 chromoly Japan steel alloy). And the new JT X1R 530 x 110 DARK SILVER/BLACK X -Ring drive chain.

For Reference, OEM Suzuki SV650 sizes are.. Sprocket, 45t Rear Sprocket DEFAULT RATIO and CHAIN LENGTH.

Sprocket, 45t Rear Sprocket ABS Model NEEDS a 114L chain!! (15/45t with 525x110L is the default size that will be sent unless otherwise requested). For QUICK ACCELERATION gear ratio (off the line, roll on's, wheelies), Request a 14t front sprocket and a 45t rear. The -1t front sprocket change is versatile because you can change back to the stock size 15t with same chain.

This change will be quicker for sure, but your top gear cruising rpm's will be higher, and your top speed will be slower. For FASTER TOP SPEED, and LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM's , Request a 16t front sprocket. The +1t front sprocket change is more versatile because you can change back to the stock size 15t with same chain.

The -2t/-3t rear sprocket change requires a different chain length, which needs altered to go back to stock. This change will be lower top gear crising rpm's, and faster top speed for sure, ut will be slower in first gear take off.

Original Factory Supplied OEM size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's. And reasonable high speed engine rpm's with the. Least amount of compromise on either top end or low end. Note; some SV's come with 44t rear as orig.

Equip, and some come with 45t. One tooth on the rear is a very slight change, but 45t is just a little quicker which is the most popular size. A 1 tooth change in the front is equivalent to a 3 tooth change in the rear.. EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front = +3 teeth rear) or (+1 tooth front = -3 teeth rear). Is the same as +4 rear only without changing the front. Stock gearing is the factory calculated "happy medium" of both low end acceleration and top end speed. Sprocket also available in 525 x 14,15 and 16 teeth. Sprocket also available in 525 x 42, 44 and 45 teeth. Also available in lightweight 520 Conversion with Black JT Steel Sprockets.
