For QUICK ACCELERATION gear ratio (off the line, roll on's, wheelies), request a 14t front sprocket and a 48t rear. The -1t front sprocket change is versatile because you can change back to the stock size 15t with same chain. This change will be quicker for sure, but your top gear cruising rpm's will be higher, and your top speed will be slower. For FASTER TOP SPEED, and LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM's , request a 16t front sprocket. The +1t front sprocket change is more versatile because you can change back to the stock size 15t with same chain.The -2t/-3t rear sprocket change requires a different chain length, which needs altered to go back to stock. This change will be lower top gear crising rpm's, and faster top speed for sure, ut will be slower in first gear take off. Original Factory Supplied OEM size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's, and high speed engine rpm's with the. Least amount of compromise on either top end or low end.
A 1 tooth change in the front is equivalent to a 3 tooth change in the rear..
